Our Story

Cornell Creamery Closed June 4th, 2017. We are no longer booking events.

Cornell Creamery started with the efforts of Charlie and Phyllis Kendall and Bill Kane. The Cornell Creamery building is the former Cornell Dairy store where milk from the farm was pasteurized and sold. Charlie has lots of memories visiting his grandfather at the Cornell farm . Charlie and Phyllis began married life as dairy farmers and then went on to start Kencove Farm Fence Inc. Kencove’s mission is to improve the quality of life for the agricultural community, our employees, and people in need. It was a struggle in the beginning, but we have been pleased that God has blessed our efforts. Fence products are being shipped all over the United States, we have a great crew of over 85 employees, and we have been able to help many worthwhile causes.

Phyllis was not quite ready to retire. A dream she has had for a long time was to give back to our local community of Blairsville – to provide a place for relaxation and fun. Dairy, fun and celebration, and family have all come together in the form of a yogurt shop and playground.

Dreams are one thing but the hard work to turn them into reality is quite a different challenge. At a Cru banquet in the spring of 2012, Charlie and Phyllis met Bill Kane. Bill also had a dream to create his own place for community, having remodeled and designed restaurants, homes and commercial space over many years as a contractor. We showed him the property, and he had the vision for turning the building into a yogurt shop. He has spent months on design, research, and the tiring physical labor needed to make this a unique and inviting place to enjoy some treats.

As of September 2014 our new party room is approved for use.
